Dit huis is al 60 jaar familiebezit. En sinds 2010 weer werkzaam als een wijnboerderij. Je kan op ons domein verblijven en je wijnboer voelen, maar dan zonder de lasten maar wel met de lusten. Rondom de boerderij ligt 150.000m2 bos en 15.000m2 wijngaard. Voor de liefhebber, we hebben Merlot, Cabernet Franc , Malbec en Cabernet Sauvignon aangeplant en maken rode wijn en rosé. Het domein ligt in een vallei waar het oorverdovend stil is. Geen last van verkeer of toeristen. Je woont hier samen en in de natuur met veel, reeën herten, dassen, hazen en vogels om je heen. Hier wakker worden is een genot. Verse croissantjes halen in Castelnaud en ontbijten, zwemmen in het zwembad of naar de rivier. Niks moet en tijdens de lunch op het terras rosé van eigen domein waar je uitkijkt over de wijnvelden. In de loggia kan je in de middag dromen over een leven als wijnboer. ‘s Avonds aan een lange tafel met gezin en vrienden genieten van het eten en rode wijn van eigen wijngaard.
Het domaine ligt buiten het dorp Veyrines de Domme. En Veyrines ligt in het zuidelijkste deel van het departement Dordogne. Het departement is genoemd naar de rivier waar verderop richting Bordeaux de beste wijngaarden van de wereld liggen. De grotere regio wordt wel Acquitaine genoemd. En vroeger heette het hier de Perigord Noir. Die term kom je nog steeds veel tegen. Ondanks de afgelegen plek van het domaine is er op 20 minuten rijden enorm veel te beleven. Van golfen en kanoën tot aan de beste restaurants, wandelingen en grotten. Markten met truffels, walnoten en de beste kip die je ooit hebt geproefd.
